Hi guys – just wondering if anyone else has noticed this:
My Virgin Atlantic credit card statements for Jan/Feb/March this year are showing around a third more points than what is posted to my flying club account? For example in march my statement says I earned 3840 points but 2753 were added to my flying club account.
In 2023 all my statements matched what was added to the flying club account, but the first 3 months of this year are all off by around a third.
I have the rewards + card; and I spend nowhere near my credit limit.
I initially thought refunds, but that would be on my statement anyway, so this is really strange and confusing me
Any insights please?
Strange. I’ve just checked my 2024 statements and mine all agree. Can’t think why that would be.
a third short would suggest you got 1point per mile rather than 1.5
Just checked mine and no problems – but from previous experience good luck in getting it sorted; both will blame the other and claim that they are separate companies
It’s really odd. I’ll speak to customer services tomorrow to figure out whats happening.
It’s not even a third actually.
March statement £2560; points earned 3,840. But on the Flying Club: 2754 points were posted
January statement £1807; points earned 2,772. But on flying club: 1351 points were posted
It’s disappointing really, shouldn’t require checks like this. Especially when you’re paying for the card.
Virgin Red/Flying Club said I need to speak to Virgin Credit Card team, and they’re closed till tomorrow.
Right guys I spoke to Virgin
Turns out its simply because of refunds, danger averted!
Phew! I was getting worried haha
I’m not sure that’s right? I have refunds go through on mine, but the final balance quoted on the statement is the amount that’s then transferred over and the amount I can see hitting my account.
