Need some help please in choosing the best seats for a couple travelling together LHR/SFO?
Opposite each other in G & K, or beside each other in either A/G/K?
Also some seat maps appear to have the rows out of line, 1G opposite 2K and so on. Is this correct or just an optical illusion?
I already know to avoid row 7 btw!
For us it’s two A seats in adjacent rows every time. G and K seats facing each other are no good if you want to talk to each other without shouting across the aisle, and adjacent G or K seats mean you’re staring at someone else.
Accurate seat map is here: https://www.aerolopa.com/vs-boeing-789
I wouldn’t particularly worry about the missing window since you can’t look out of it without getting a crick in your neck.
Same as @marks7389 for us – two A seats. It feels a little more private on that side of the aircraft too.
Agreed. In front of each other is better than across the aisle in this upper layout. And column A is the best.
Yep agreed. A and nearer the front as you get served first and less likely to run out of your first choices (which has happened to us before). Maybe not the very first row as you don’t want to be too close to the galley area.
@marks7389, @JenT, @Travel Strong, @degsy – I would have gone for two opposite each other so really glad I asked the question. Thanks to you all for the helpful advice which I’ll definitely take.
