Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Virgin Atlantic flight marketed by Delta/AF/KLM

I have an upcoming business travel to the US and I would like to use this trip to get some VS tier points in order to retain my status with Flying Club.

There are convenient VS metal flights available but for some reason my corporate travel portal only shows the Delta/AF/KLM marketed flights on VS metal and not the Virgin flight numbers.

I looked at Virgin’s website and it appears that the tier points that I would get are the same for both Virgin as well as Delta/KLM/AF flights when I credit them to Flying Club.

Is there anything to look out for before booking these DL/AF/KLM marketed VS flights? Would it be possible to buy Virgin Points Booster to get even more Flying Club miles for these flights?

There aren’t any gotchas, per se. If you book a DL/AF/KL-marketed VS-operated service, you’ll get the VS service you’re used to. If your status lets you in to the Clubhouse, you’ll also get that and you can add your FC number to get TPs. The CSM will also be advised of your status on their iPad. So far, the same, then.

You cannot use Points Booster (see the terms at https://flywith.virginatlantic.com/us/en/flying-club/earn-points/points-booster.html#howtoboostyourpoints, term 1), but you can buy points at the regular rate at virgin.com/virgin-red. I think the Points Booster rate is better, but you’d only get that if flying on a VS ticket and a VS marketed service.

Thanks so much! I made the booking and can see the flights in Virgin’s My Account page and app with the VS PNR. Surprisingly Virgin’s site allowed me to purchase points booster. Fingers crossed if the boosted points would post.
