Yesterday, Virgin showed no availability for some LHR – Atlanta flights for next Easter, but Seatspy did.
To cut a long story short, seats were available and we got our reward booking, but if I could take anything from the exercise, it would be to trust Seatspy above Virgin’s new tool.
Some things never change.
SeatSpy is notoriously inconsistent at best, though, as evidenced here and elsewhere. When push comes to shove, VS aren’t going to be honouring either, but you’ll have more chance with the Reward Flight Finder than with SeatSpy. Enjoy ATL!
I don’t understand why people are relying on either – I found my seats from NAS by trying to book them in the app the morning I knew they should be released! Neither Seatspy nor the VS tool were showing them at that point.
