Voucher upon upgrading

Does anybody know whether you immediately get a voucher if you upgrade from the basic to the Plus card?

I currently have £15k spent on the basic card and won’t hit the £20k target by the end of February, but what if I were to upgrade?

Or it doesn’t make sense to upgrade just for the voucher? Is there any other incentive out there atm? Don’t think so but maybe somebody else has a different experience?

I already get an upgrade voucher with my Premier account, so maybe not really worth it?

No, you won’t get the voucher immediately upon upgrading. In fact, your spend will reset to zero, so you will be even further away from triggering it.

A lot of people have managed to earn 2 vouchers in 1 year by doing the reverse, I.e. start with the Plus card, spending £10k, then downgrading and spending a further £20k.

Your ‘spend to date’ towards the cabin upgrade voucher will restart from scratch if you upgrade or downgrade.
