Some information for those looking to fly VS between LHR and TLV.
VS current run four services, two in each direction, between LHR and TLV each day:
– VS457 0820-1540 LHR-TLV
– VS458 1725-2105 TLV-LHR
– VS453 2210-0505 LHR-TLV
– VS454 0655-1030 TLV-LHR
VS457 and VS458 will continue to operate for as long as it is considered safe to do so. VS453/VS454 were, I think, summer services, and these have been cancelled until at least 28th October (i.e. the end of VS summer season).
If you were on VS453 and/or VS454, rebooking and refund options apply. I expect that https://help.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/news/travel-alerts/tel-aviv-travel-update.html will be updated shortly to the new policy, given it currently allows free rebooking and refunds only for flights up to tonight (ex-LHR) and tomorrow (ex-TLV).
I’ve accepted my November trip won’t happen and have rebooked for the Canaries.
Third time having to cancel Israel, third time having to cancel this VS 241 voucher…
Hope some sense prevails soon, but doesn’t feel like it 🙁
VS 453 and VS 454 showing as cancelled on flight radar for tonight / tomorrow morning
VS 453 and VS 454 showing as cancelled on flight radar for tonight / tomorrow morning
Yes – this news is in addition to those cancellations, which were previously announced. In short, read it as though it applies from October 11th to October 28th.
