Hi everyone,
I have recently been making good use of the BA Avios eStore to get extra points on purchases. I understand that it’s a flaky system and it has been inconsistent with tracking for me, and that people have issues with them getting clawed back, as far as 3+ years after purchase.
My question is, what happens if you have used the BA Balance Booster to boost transactions by 1-3x, but eventually one of these transactions is cancelled? I will obviously lose the original awarded amount, but do BA somehow calculate the boosted amount of that transaction and remove that, too?
Thanks very much
Interesting question. I think you’ll be OK as the Avios Booster requires you to purchase them so they are separate from the Avios earned from the BA estore. All it means is that you purchased more Avios at a better price than you might have been able to but as you paid cash for them they are just Avios you’ve bought.
