Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club What is the max number of rows in Club Europe?

I booked a Club Europe flight from Heathrow to Tenerife for late autumn 2024.

Went to choose and seat – and they go all the way up to row 12 (and include the emergency exists).

The best i could get is row 7 (got my favoured row 2 on the way back).

Is it the normal to have 12 rows in Club Europe – think the most i have seen. They include the emergency tows – would it be worth nabbing them or are the likely to move the curtain if they can’t sell all 12 rows would you think?

Very often BA both don’t actually have or use the curtain anymore and don’t bother with the middle tray table divider (just leave the seat empty).

AFAIK they could therefore sell as many or as few Club Europe seats as they see fit, gives them all the flexibility in the world. So yes, if they can’t sell all rows currently advertised they would move the (often imaginary) dividing line.

IIRC the max is indeed 12 rows / 48 passengers but that is rare and only on really popular routes.

So yes the curtain does get moved depending on the route and demand.

On my AMS flight today the curtain was at Row 6 but I’ve seen it at row 3 before (which is the smallest CE can be.

The middle tables were often removed to save the work of installing / uninstalling the .

I imagine it will be constrained by the amount of food they can fit in the galley, but I have no idea what that number would be.

I think 12 is the max. Had that to Salzburg at Christmas. The crew struggled.

I’ve seen 10 and 12 before. I was in row 10 on LHR-MAN a few years ago. Crew got to row 4 with F & B and then we started the descent into MAN 😂

Tenerife pretty much always sells 12 rows out of Heathrow from what I’ve seen (max on an A320) – 2 flights on a Saturday! Decent length flight though so plenty of time for the service but if you’re in row 12 likely no choice on the food.

A321 can go to row 14 – there is a 13 row flight going out to Nice tomorrow for example which must be quite a rush for the crew.

12 rows from Tenerife a couple of weeks ago. We were in row 10. We got what we wanted but behind us didn’t.

12 rows CE out and back 1st & 2nd week of march ( outside of school holidays) and that’s from Gatters. If they can sell that many ( on MMB they’ve already done so OB & when I looked last week were half way through E11 RTN) on a spring flight from there then LHR must be near constant on max rows I’d imagine

One way to ensure some form of choice if you are seated towards the back if there lots of CE rows is to order a special meal. This can be doubly advantageous on a short flight as they are generally brought out first or at least after row 1

LHR-SOF/SOF-LHR – Club Europe very busy. I think I remember there being 14 rows on one trip.

I have found the crew on the SOF route are very experienced, get up and down the CE rows very quickly and they know exactly what travellers are up to.

It has a bit of a party vibe, as there are some regulars having a giggle with the crew 😀

    Fun flights.

Perhaps I should have picked SOF instead of ATH for my October trip! I’m on a separate booking from my OH and reluctant to pay an extra £40 for his seats, but I’m now wondering if one of us will be in my pre-selected row 2 window seat and the other in row 14 stuck with a quinoa salad 😟
