Saw the recent article on BA’s club suite roll out plans but any idea if there is an article on Virgins new business roll out plans? Sorry if I’ve missed it.
Just vague promises. I’ve seen nothing solid. My strong suspicion is they’ll never bother to refit the old A330s. Toss up re the 787s.
I can’t see the A330s being retrofitted – I suspect that they’ll increasingly get put on the tourist-heavy routes, such as MCO. We’ll see newer aircraft and cabins to places that VS want to show some sparkle or that encourage business travel (e.g. SEA). The 789s really do need a do-over, but I imagine we’ll only get a partial re-fit of those.
On the one hand, having aircraft with fewer J and more Y+ was a good idea to maximise Y+ revenue, but the downside is that it doesn’t allow for some aircraft to operate routes where J demand is heavy, leading to fare increases (which nobody wants).
