When Cancelling Amex Platinum

Hi All,

When cancelling Amex Platinum – do the hotel rewards or avis club gets cancelled straight away or do they go on for the full year?

I presume lounge access would be cancelled straight away right?

Lounge access cancelled immediately.
Hotel status lasts the whole year and often (much) longer.
Don’t know about avis I’m afraid.

Avis requires an AmEx Plat as the registered payment card for the President’s Circle membership.

After my wife got her Plat, I cancelled mine. When I went in to the Avis app, I had to register with my (new) supp card to retain Circle membership
