When does the 24 month clock start / end?

Hi I cancelled my Plat on 27th September 2020. This is the date CS said I cancelled the card. Will I now be eligible for the sign up bonus? Or does the 24 month clock start at the end of the last billing period?

Best to call Amex – it may depend, in part, on whether you had a zero balance when you cancelled or paid it later. Easiest just to call Amex and ask because a mistake is very painful …. you’d be stuck to 2024.
