Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Where can I find Aer Lingus flights with my companion voucher?

  • 10 posts

Hi guys, feel like this has been answered before, so apologies in advance but I can’t for the life of me find how I can use my companion voucher to book a direct return from Manchester to New York. I’m looking at any time in January 2025 at the moment.

When I use the BA app to book reward flight with a companion voucher, they only show me BA flights (which go via London). Ideally looking for direct from Manchester.

    Thanks

AE don’t guarantee any seats on their flights as BA do and seats from MAN are akin to finding rocking horse poop.

You’ve a better chance looking from DUB (which lets you take advantage of pre-clear and avoiding JFK immigration.

Take a MAN-DUB flight on ryanair or AE the day befire and make a night of it in Dublin.

But you’re doing the right thing. Look on BA. I find economy on Aer Lingus is OK, but I’ve never seen business class availability.

I bet even ex DUB sends you via LHR.

    Two answers

    1. The EI booking horizon is only – as of today – up to 5th January 2025 so most of January isn’t bookable

    2. When the horizon does cover your dates EI doesn’t always release reward seats the same way BA does.

Yes it’s business class I’m looking for… Good shout re going from Dublin… I’ll check that out.

I’ve never seen any business availability from MAN, just economy and often with crazily high surcharges. Agree with davefl, try DUB with pre-clearance and lower fees.
