I’m probably being thick but I can’t see the voucher anywhere.
I hot the minimum spend and had a notification but I can’t see it anywhere in my account. I’m trying to find out when it expires but now I’m a bit worried that it’s not there at all.
You’re not being thick. It’s only visible to customer service when you call to book.
How ridiculous. So I have to call them to ask when it expires?
If I was being cynical I would think that was in the hope that they would go unused.
Whilst, to find the actual dates, you do need to call up, you can work it out (approximately) without calling – assuming it’s a credit card voucher – based on the terms (at https://uk.virginmoney.com/virgin/credit-cards/vaa-cards/terms/reward-plus.jsp). You’ll get the voucher within thirty days (clause 4) and it’s valid for two years after issuance (clause 6). Your outbound must be booked and taken prior to the two year period being up, but your inbound can be taken any time after that.
You can also, of course, book an outbound within the relevant time frame and pay change fees (if applicable) to keep moving it out.
It’s there, view your points statement and amongst the regular earnings you should see a line (likely dated during the few weeks prior to when you got the email).
The line will say “Virgin Atlantic Credit Card Reward Voucher” and will show as 0 points.
The expiry is then from that date for 2 years.
