Hi all, this starts next week and am hoping to make a trip next Friday (the first Friday of the tournament).
Usually I just join the Queue but this year want to book tickets. Any suggestions best way to do this? Will Amex release their tickets?
Thank you! Can’t answer the question I’m afraid, but free strawberries and cream for Barclays Premier customers who make it to Wimbledon.
Not heard anything yet about Amex doing their ‘cardholder tickets’ via Ticketmaster. It seemed to work well as a way of selling last minute spare tickets (I got one in the media area once on Centre Court with a built-in laptop stand!).
I understand that Amex will be doing something – “keep an eye on our socials” according to a tweet – but haven’t released any information yet.
Also if you entered the ballot but were unsuccessful, you can pick up returns at https://ticketsale.wimbledon.com/ – hard to get but they seem to be releasing some daily, particularly in the evenings. I managed to get a pair myself this way. If you didn’t enter the ballot you won’t be able to access this route though.
Amex will be releasing last minute tickets tomorrow at 10am. They just added that to their Instagram page. There’s no link though, so I think you need to set up a reminder and go to their IG page tomorrow!
Wish they’d put that information somewhere useful. We’re not all teenage girls who need to share photos every 30 minutes, why would grownups have an Instagram account? Grumble, grumble.
And get off my lawn!
@phantomchickenz could be worse! Next year it might be on TikTok!!
Is there a url that the tickets are available from?
It redirected to this link, but it doesn’t work (for me at least): https://peak46.secutix.com/pkpcontroller/wp/aeltc/index_en.html?queue=q-AELTC-1
I saw that they removed it from their IG account as well, so maybe something went wrong.
Schoolboy error from me. Went Wimbledon on Tuesday and only spent £128, when the offer was £140 for £20 statement credit! I think last year it was £120.
Didn’t go to the Amex lounge, and the Barclays Premier offering wasn’t interesting. They also ran out of programmes by the time we got there. Did get free strawberries and cream though via Barclays, and the Amex radios.
A further Amex ticket sale is happening tomorrow morning at 10am at https://amextickets.wimbledon.com/ – join the virtual queue earlier though as people seemed to be assigned places in it at around 950am last week. It’s very limited supply too
