Could anyone give me a steer or heads up on where is a good place to park at Heathrow for a week? Are there any links that will give me extra Avios or MR’s going via a shopping portal maybe ? Is Purple Parking still one of the recommended on-site car parks ? Apologies but not interested in parking in someone’s driveway if that is still a thing.

7.5% TCB or 7 Avios per £1 on BA shopping on Heathrow Parking, plus earn points via Heathrow Rewards. That’s what I end up doing these days for the convenience.

Thanks Steve, will take a look.

Hounslow West station is a really good option for a week and then a short journey on the tube. Much more reliable than waiting for airport buses and 6.50 a day with weekends free

Thanks for this, never considered parking at a station, this could work for us. OH is a bit conventional but the price is so good he might be tempted.

You can also park at Asda in Hays and Harlington (and then 1 stop step free) to Heathrow. This is what we’ve been doing the last few times with no bother. You can book it through JustPark.

We used Heathrow Business Parking for our last trip from T3 – You keep your keys and it’s cancellable. It was much cheaper than Short Stay but wasn’t that much more than Long Stay and the shuttle busses are much more frequent than Long Stay.

That Asda is not a particularly convenient walk to the station. Granted it’s “only” 5 minutes, but it’s uphill and with a load of luggage would be a rather annoying start to a holiday, YMMV.

£27 per week at the station car park at Hayes and Darlington then Elizabeth line to Heathrow. Easy.

Thanks for all the further info, haven’t booked yet, but will need to do so in the next week. OH needs to have a look at the various options as he is the driver.

I’ve gone with valet options last couple of times as I’ve got infants and can’t be doing any form of buses! If you go via moneysavingexpert to holiday extras seem to get best prices.

Have to be willing to give over your keys and trust them but if you stick to the brand names (MBW, holiday extras etc) then I’m comfortable with this, I haven’t had any problems. MBW were also extremely helpful when I forgot my Tesla keycard

Not for you but one good option for anyone coming down the M40 and doing a short trip (max 4 days) is High Wycombe coachway – £10pp or £30 for 4 return on the airline coach that runs every 20 minutes, parking about £4 per day

Apoligies, my fat fingers reported this first time around rather than quoting it.

I used the Asda car park for a trip in to central London last week. I didn’t think the walk was too bad with one large wheely, but I agree if you are loaded with luggage then its not great, mostly due to the state of the footways and the tactile paving used at crossings, rather than the length or incline per se.

If I were travelling with small wheelys on a HBO trip then I’d definitely use it for Heathrow. Amex usually have a 10% back offer on as well.

Thanks for the info. We are only travelling for a week so might just go with the two cabin bags each that BA allow.
