If you fly FROM London between 27th July and 12th August, you will earn up to 2,000 bonus miles if Great Britain wins an Olympic medal that day – 250 if the best is Bronze, 500 for Silver and 1,000 for Gold, with the amount doubled if one of BA’s sponsored athletes wins.
You might as well register even if you have no flying planned, since plans can change.
Those following my Radisson promo mattress runs will, I know, be keen to know that the Park Inn Watford is nowhere near as good as the Park Inn Bedford.
That said, at £56 plus £9.50 for the return train trip, it was a bargain for the hour I spent there and, more importantly, the 44,000 Club Carlson bonus points I will pick up. Ugly building, 2 minutes from the station but a trot from anywhere to eat or drink, tiny room, very noisy from the road.
But here is the clincher. The built-in headboard and bedside tables were designed for a double bed – but there was only a single bed in the room! The bedside tables were therefore 18 inches from the edge of the bed! Truly a first in the c 200 different hotels I reckon I have stayed at. In theory I am booked in again in a couple of weeks but I’m not sure I can face it!
