Emirates Skywards reveals earning and burning rates for Qantas flights

This is a topic that is only of marginal interest to Head for Points readers, so instead of writing a long post I will direct you to this excellent post on Loyalty Lobby.

Here you find the earnings chart for Qantas flights in the Emirates Skywards programme, as well as the redemption chart for spending your miles on Qantas flights.

(Don’t forget that you can also now redeem Emirates miles on easyJet!)

The real kicker is that only Qantas flights booked as an Emirates codeshare will count for tier miles (ie status miles) in Skywards, although any Qantas flight will accrue redemption miles. 

You also will NOT earn on domestic Qantas flights unless booked as part of an international itinerary.

How to earn Emirates Skywards miles from UK credit cards (March 2025)
