Slightly off topic Raffles. Do you know how long the Amex 20k Starpoints take to post? My experience with Membership Rewards was that any bonus posted alongside whatever transaction took you over the threshold. This doesn’t seem to have happened with my SPG card despite a 2k spend. Is it common to have to wait?

    • Rob says:

No, it should post along the spend that took you over, excluding the £75 card fee in your calculation. However, Amex often sets the cards up wrongly and you need to wait for the manual 3 month review, at which point they will be added. Its a pain but you can’t do much about it, nor can you predict in advance if this will happen.
