    • AviosNewbie says:

Not much use for London then! I’ll probably spend more getting to Southend than a usual Ryanair/Easyjet flight from gatwick. 🙁

      • But for those of us in the far distant provinces it’s nice to see something we can use for a change – London Airways seems to forget we exist -as does whoever puts the Amex packages together.

        • AviosNewbie says:

I agree, would be good to have deals for those who live that side. The usual Amex deals might seem to ignore a large section of customers. To be honest, I didn’t even know there was a London Southend airport until I saw this post and looked it up on google maps.

    • GLA to EMA, yay!

    • JamesWag says:

I was hoping for some to Kirkwall.
Past are my days of 18hr solid drives upto the very tip of mainland Scotland from London in a van full of diving kit.
I’d rather take a couple of flights and hire the gear now.
Those Kirkwall flights can be savagely expensive.

  2. I wonder why Edinburgh’s not included.

    • I noticed that rather glaring omission too! Are the EDI routes proving too profitable that they don’t want to discount them? Apart from the LCY flights I’d be surprised if that was the case.

  3. Availability is a bit limited on some routes it seems, still grabbed a MAN-DUS return for giggles

  4. Had a look at MAN-DUS and nothing on Sat in Jan.
Then MAN-MXP (Milan) and cheap enough at £15 but a minimum of 3x the price coming back.

  5. Froggitt says:

Just found BHX IOM for £9.81

  6. OK, I’m in. I’ve booked myself onto a flight from London Southend airport for £15 one way. I think it will make for a quality trip report!

  7. Website Doesn’t seem to like the iPad can’t get any of the drop downs to work

  8. Speedbird_ABZ says:

What’s Cologne like for a quick weekender?
I can see some availability ex Birmingham and can connect – albeit on a separate ticket – ex Aberdeen.

    • H-u-g-e cathedral, touristy city, no shortage of hotels due to the massive NEC-style conference facility there. Certainly worth a look.

    • Lady London says:

German. Cologne is pretty quiet. You maybe should hop over to Dusseldorf right next door, excellent train service I think about 20min, goes all day, much more to do (and shop!) in DUS

  9. Speedbird_ABZ says:

Thank you. Certainly loads of reasonably-priced hotels. Now do I rely on Flybe’s CGN/BHX flight to be on time so I can connect back home??
