Free night after two stays when you join Marriott Rewards

Marriott Rewards is currently offering a very interesting deal for new members – a free night after just two stays.

The good news is that you have up to 150 days to complete the two stays.   You have all of the month you enrol plus a further 120 days after the end of that month.

More good news is that ALL of the Marriott brands count – Marriott, Courtyard, EDITION, Autograph, Renaissance, Protea, Residence Inn, Ritz-Carlton, AC Hotels etc.

The link to sign up is here.

There is one piece of bad news.  The free night can only be redeemed at a Category 1-5 Marriott Rewards hotel.  To be fair to Marriott, 80% of their properties globally fall in Category 1-5 – it is just that all of the high profile ones do not.  There is nothing in London below Category 7, for instance.

The Marriott in Northampton – a Category 4 hotel, pictured above – is the sort of place you will be spending your free night.

However, it is wrong to look a gift horse in the mouth.  If you have some Marriot stays coming up it is worth joining.  You may want to sign-up (the link is here) in the name of your partner if you already have a Marriott account and they don’t – or risk opening a new account for yourself at a different address.

I have 4 nights booked in Marriot Bangkok… booked via… will this count??

    • Rob says:

Unlikely, because it is a third party booking.

Remember that you don’t get free Wi-Fi at Marriott unless you book direct so, if Wi Fi is essential, you want to consider cancelling and rebooking directly. It depends how much the Wi-Fi costs versus what you get back in Welcome Rewards via

      • RT says:

You do get WiFi access. It’s free throughout the Marriot hotel in Bangkok. I was there in January and was booked via too.

  • kevin says:

I also got the same message as George but emailed Marriott rewards who confirmed that I had been enrolled with the free night offer but it would take 24-72 hours to update my account. Fingers crossed

  • Felix Flyer says:

Just wonderered if it would link with the Marriott refer a friend offer or not?
