Hilton HHonors has slipped out a short-notice promotion which will run for just under three weeks.

For every stay at a Hilton Group hotel before July 6th, you will receive 5,000 bonus Hilton HHonors points.

Remember that the Hilton Group includes Hampton, Waldorf-Astoria, Conrad, Doubletree and Embassy Suites as well as the main Hilton chain.

This offer works ON TOP of the current double points promotion which I wrote about here.

You MUST register at this page in order to receive the 5,000 bonus points.

I don’t value 5,000 Hilton HHonors points too highly.  £15 would be fair.  However, a £15 rebate on a cheap one night stay – on top of the double points offer – is a very good return.

The longer the stay, the less interesting the extra 5,000 points becomes.

It may be worth switching a few stays to a Hilton property over the next couple of weeks to take advantage of this.  However, you should also consider the current Club Carlson offer (Radisson, Park Inn, Park Plaza) which offers triple points on all stays until June 28th.

Don’t forget to register for the 5,000 bonus Hilton points via this link.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

You can apply for either card here.

Holders of The Platinum Card from American Express receive FREE Hilton Honors Gold status for as long as they hold the card.  It also comes with Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Radisson Rewards Premium and MeliaRewards Gold status.

We reviewed American Express Platinum in detail here and you can apply here.

  • Hama Patel says:

Would you know if you were to book a reward stay would you still receive the bonus miles. Therefore making a one night stay at Hampton Corby or Newport free.

    • Kuan says:

I registered this promo after I checked out a reward stay on the 17th in China and before the stay was posted. And then when I checked my account today, the stay was posted along with the 5,000 points.
So in short, yes a reward stay will trigger the 5k offer.

      • Jason says:

Having bought 320k Hilton points yesterday this might be very handy and visiting corby tennis centre 3 times a weeks, this could prove interesting.
If I sign up to all the bonuses would I get more back than a room costs, by just doing mattress runs.
My son has tennis coaching and I could check in whilst he’s playing as its a 1 min drive 🙂

        • Mrtibbs1999 says:

Bill something to your room and you’ll get the points. I like to make a local phone call

        • Rochelle says:

How did you buy 320′? Isn’t there a cap on buying amounts?

          • Jason says:

My account and my wife’s account, 80k plus 100% bonus on each account.

      • Mr(s) Entitled says:

Normally if you bill something to your room to generate a spend all the promos kick in. It is worth charging a drink or some such.

      • Dan says:

So couple that with one of the status challenges and you’ve got Gold after 4 free stays?

    • Danksy says:

Good shout! In fact you would be paid to stay at Newport if you could trigger double points as well! It would offset bridge costs !

    • Jason says:

Have done the Corby stay, 5k cost, 5k bonus.
Registered for gold challenge, 3 nights to go have another stay booked tomorrow. Making it a family treat out 🙂

  • Danny says:

Thanks Rob. This is great news as I have 5 short stays booked over the next few weeks in Helsinki, Amsterdam and Cologne.

  • James says:

Gosh darn it Hilton, don’t you realise all my stays are after that date?! 😛 offset this promotion by a few weeks and I would clean up!

  • Michelle says:

I booked a stay at hilton last night for Saturday using the public sector code as I work for the NHS so it is non-refundable. Is there anyway or any likelihood that I could get the bonus points? Thanks.

    • Mrtibbs1999 says:

      Yes, just register

    • Alan says:

Should be absolutely fine as long as you register for this promo – the public sector rate is a fully qualifying one.

    • Rob says:

      Yes, should be just fine

    • TimS says:

      You should be fine.
As others have said, the public sector rate is a qualifying rate.
However, the airline-agency staff rate is non-aualifying.

  • Tariq says:

Got a stay booked at Newark, checking in 5th and check out 7th July – wonder if I will get the points… :-/

  • Moore says:

If ‘My Way’ is set to airmiles, would this promo generate 5k airmile bonus?

  • Jason says:

If gold stays was achieved over he next 3 weeks, how long does that status normally last?

  • Scottnothing says:

I just called HHonors Customer Care to query why I did not receive the Double Points bonus for a stay last weekend. I was told that because the promotion had been expanded to all hotels across the Hilton brands/network, they are having trouble crediting the promotional points due to technical issues/limitations. I was told the points will credit within the 6-8 weeks they give themselves in the T&Cs, but the credits would not be within 48 hours which had been the case before the promotion was extended.
