More Black Friday deals – parking, lounges, rail cards, currency and more

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Here is another batch of Black Friday travel deals we have been notified about in advance.

We take no responsibility if these deals have changed or don’t work as promised.

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific has got two great offers for flights to Hong Kong:

Economy Flights to Hong Kong – from £399
Premium Economy to Hong Kong – from £799

All other Black Friday offers can be found on this page of the Cathay Pacific website.

Heathrow Airport Parking

We recently ran a competition with Heathrow Airport Parking listing the advantages of booking your airport parking with Heathrow’s official parking company. This Black Friday you can save money when booking any of Heathrow Airport Parking’s services. We didn’t know the exact saving when writing this article, but they should be up on the website now.

LoungeBuddy

If you fly between now and 24th January and your flight or status doesn’t allow you general lounge access, you could book one of 200 lounges wordwide with LoungeBuddy and save 20%.

Simply follow this link and book by midnight tonight. The discount will be added automatically. This offer doesn’t apply to bookings via their app.  Discounts may include the First Class Lounge at the City Airport Private Jet Terminal I reviewed recently.

National Rail Card

This Black Friday you can save £10 on your National Rail Card and save money on your train travel for the next year.

Enter the code BLACKFRIDAY when buying either a 16-25 Railcard or a Family & Friends Railcard via the Rail Card website and pay only £20 instead of £30

Priority Pass

Buy a Priority Pass lounge access card between today and 2nd December and you can save 25% to 40% depending on which version you get. The discount will be applied automatically when booking via the Priority Pass website.

Travelex

Travelex is doing a currency sale today from 9am until 5pm. Unfortunately we don’t have more information, but if you are travelling this Winter it’s worth visiting the Travelex website from 9am.

This was it for now (thankfully).  Obviously there is a lot more going on today but these are the deals we were told about.  We should have another list of deals on Monday for Cyber Monday.

Nothing showing on the Heathrow parking site yet.

Anyone know if we cancel an existing booking for Christmas and rebook if cheaper will the Heathrow reward vouchers get returned to us to respend on this offer.

  • SLS says:

Iberia are throwing up some odd business promo fares fyi

    • SLS says:

I should have added they’re showing as business promo until they’re booked. They’re then showing as economy Q class. Ring Iberia and they’re of no use. That was last night and they’re still showing this mornig

  • the real harry says:

Not showing on Priority Pass either – £9.54 to get into No1 Traveller would be good 🙂

  • Corrine says:

Heathrow parking prices are the same as yesterday 🙁

  • John Watkins says:

    Re the priority pass,

I have got up to the payment part after creating account and it is still showing £159. No discount has been mentioned along the process so at this time I am reluctant to proceed.

    • Brighton Belle says:

Same here, created a test account to see if there was any discount , you are never shown the price you are going to be billed to your card except at the very start of the process…no discount is applied at the billing stage… So killed the application.

      • John Milling says:

Same here, went all the way through the process expecting the discount to be applied but it wasn’t so cancelled.

    • JohnNI says:

      Hi Rob,

Unless I am not seeing something obvious the link you gave takes me to a page promoting the offer but I cannot see any proceed button or a discount code

      • Beppo says:

        same here

        • Beppo says:

Updating, after googling I only get 10% on the ‘prestige’ even though 25% was advertised…..

      • Rob says:

Yes I know! Give it time ….

        • jamie says:

save yourselves all some bother and get the amex platinum with free PP. If you are buying PP, it is easy to extract another couple of hundred pounds of value and pay the 450 pound annual fee. no brainer in my view.

  • Graham says:

Re: Priority Pass, I have found a way to get:

-Standard down to £41 (from £69)
-Standard Plus down to £119 (from £159)
-Prestige down to £194 from £259

I haven’t posted the link (as Rob will obviously not get any referral commission etc) but if Rob is happy for me to do so, then let me know

  • Jordan D says:

Heathrow Parking looks completely the same pricing for the two trips on which I’ve already booked.

  • Chris C says:

Be careful with the Cathay deal, I booked HKG economy for £380 in October and I believe the Dec/Jan sale a couple years ago was also better/around the £399 mark.
