  @ROB can you add a reminder to remind people to cancel their Times travel magazine Direct Debit if they don’t want to have their subscription renewed?? My next direct debit was on the 30th August, saw it last week, and canceled. 🙂

    It does but my quote for contents only was almost 3x my renewal quote on a comparable policy so they would have been very expensive avios. However, if you are looking for no thrills insurance without accidental, legal etc you might get a worthwhile quote. The problem though is that you can get those free or heavily discounted at the likes of the Co Op or post office if you are a new customer so it becomes a trade off between those and the avios. I opted for the extra insurance. The agent was quick, efficient, friendy and not pushy IME so nothing to lose in obtaining a quote.

    Wish I could get a premier account for the credit cards alone. Are they strict on the requirements ?

      Yes. They used to wave them for youngsters on a good career path but I understand no longer.

  Any thoughts on whether Virgin will offer a better bonus on their ISA this year, need to apply soon, latest in August I would think to get the 6 months payments in and avoid crossing into tax year?

  Was mentioned on here a week or so ago – sadly they seem to have decided they want to increase their workload and move it all to online chat or telephone. Terrible decision 🙁
