Our comprehensive review of the Accor Live Limitless scheme is here.

The best car rental deal of the week was clearly Virgin Atlantic’s new offer of a whopping 6,000 Flying Club miles with a 2+ day Avis rental.

If you find yourself booking a car from Europcar instead, there is an interesting offer with Le Club AccorHotels, the loyalty scheme for Ibis, Novotel, Mercure, Sofitel etc.

Accor Europcar offer

If you book by 31st January for rentals completed by 15th June, you will get:

750 Accor points for a 1-4 day rental

1,500 Accor points for a 5-7 day rental

3,000 Accor points for a 8+ day rental

1 Accor point is worth 2 Eurocents of credit towards an Accor hotel stay or 1 Avios point if you convert to Iberia Plus.  Do not convert to BA as you only get 0.5 Avios points per Accor point.

Full details are on the Europcar website here.  US and Canada rentals do not qualify.

  • Keefe Kwan says:

Bought the 2000 avios groupon. Am I the only one having issues redeeming the groupon?

    • JT says:

I am also having problems, am still unable to redeem the voucher. Has anyone been successful in redeeming the voucher?

    • Steve says:

No Keefe you’re not the only one. Spanish Groupon says “Coupon not valid” (in Spanish of course) when trying to redeem it. I have had an online chat with them and they are looking into it. Not sure what the problem can be, but I work for a Dutch company in London and our IT servers are based in Paris. I wait with bated breath but I ain’t holding it, it could be a while.

    • Rob Saw says:

I’ve done it twice – first time was easy, still waiting for the second – I must get in touch with them…

    • MJ says:

Mine does not work either. Keeps going back to code entry screen each time

    • Steve says:

Had and email from Groupon Spain to say problem fixed, try again. Tried again and most successful. Most happy now.

  • Alex says:

Same for me. Got the PDF voucher but cannot redeem it.

In Chrome it just goes back to the “Step 1” screen, in Firefox it brings up a coupon invalid message in Spanish.

  • Hardy says:

Re the Iberiaplusstore/Groupon voucher for avios, I ordered 2000 but haven’t had an email with the pdf voucher and it’s not in my Groupon .es account. I paid with PayPal and fortunately the receipt is proof I made the purchase. And I’ve had the standard Iberiaplusstore email saying Groupon informed them of the purchase. But without the voucher codes I’m concerned. Does anyone have any ideas on how to redeem in this situation? (I’ve emailed Groupon about it and my fingers are crossed).

  • Alex says:

Working for me now and the Plus Store Avios have been tracked as well.

  • TripleB says:

working for me now too – iberia plus didn’t track though … alas it’s just the cherry on top
