In another of Lufthansa’s birthday celebrations for its Miles & More programme, chauffeur group Blacklane is offering 10 Miles & More miles per €1 / £1 / $1 spent on rides.
You need to book your trip during September and complete it before the end of the year.
The company now operates in 300 cities in 60 countries and is particularly useful for airport rides. We used them in Milan Linate last month.
If you are not interested in 10 miles per £$€1, Blacklane also lets you earn airline miles with:
- Asia Miles (2 per £/$/€ spent)
- Flying Blue (2 per £/$/€ spent)
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club (1 per £/$/€ spent)
- Enrich (Malaysia Airlines) (2 per £/$/€ spent)
- Singapore Airlines Krisflyer (2 per £/$/€ spent)
You can also save 10% on your first Blacklane ride with code SAVE10%.
Blacklane has a slightly odd way of entering promotional codes. You will be presented with a page asking for your credit card details. After you type them in, there is an additional screen which asks if you have a voucher code. Add SAVE10% on that page and 10% is deducted from your quote. Your card is not charged until after the ride and you can cancel until 1 hour before pick-up.
You can sign-up for a Blacklane account here. Click on the Miles & More logo on their home page to see full details of the ’10 miles per £€$1′ offer.

How to earn Star Alliance miles from UK credit cards (April 2025)
None of the Star Alliance airlines currently have a UK credit card.
There is, however, still a way to earn Star Alliance miles from a UK credit card.
The route is via Marriott Bonvoy. Marriott Bonvoy hotel loyalty points convert to over 40 airlines at the rate of 3:1.
The best way to earn Marriott Bonvoy points is via the official Marriott Bonvoy American Express card. It comes with 20,000 points for signing up and 2 points for every £1 you spend. At 2 Bonvoy points per £1, you are earning (at 3:1) 0.66 airline miles per £1 spent on the card.
There is a preferential conversion rate to United Airlines – which is a Star Alliance member – of 2 : 1 if you convert 60,000 Bonvoy points at once.
The Star Alliance members which are Marriott Bonvoy transfer partners are: Aegean, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Avianca, Copa Airlines, Singapore Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and United Airlines.
