As part of its occasional ‘Dream Tickets’ promotions, British Airways is running a 2-4-1 offer on Premium Economy tickets to Johannesburg.
Full details are on ba.com here. You must:
book by 17th February
travel between 1st-31st March or 1st May-31st December
both passengers must travel together at all time
Availability seems to be slim. If your dates work, you will be paying £1,350 for two tickets. I got it to price up over 7th to 14th March for example.
Note that only the base fare on the 2nd ticket seems to be reduced to £0, not the taxes and charges. In reality you are paying £1,350 instead of £1,800 so it is not strictly ‘2 for 1’.
Full details are on this ba.com page.
To maximise your miles when paying, your best bet is the British Airways American Express Premium Plus card which earns double Avios (3 per £1) when you book at ba.com or via BA Holidays. You do not get double Avios if you book with the free British Airways American Express card. Another option is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold which offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.
