New American Express and Laithwaites cashback offer launched

We have a long history of writing about points-earning wine deals on Head for Points.  Unfortunately the days when Tesco Wine would offer 1,500 Clubcard points (3,600 Avios) for buying 12 bottles of wine are long gone, as indeed is Tesco Wine itself.

British Airways and Laithwaites launched ‘Wine Explorer’ in 2017 but this is currently paused with no Avios-earning deal.

However, if you have an American Express card you may see an offer for £25 cashback on a £100 Laithwaites spend on one of your accounts.  If it is there, you need to click ‘Save to Card’ to register.

A reader dropped me a note to say that this works perfectly well with the Laithwaites Wine Plan introductory packages.  £49.99 gets you 12 bottles of wine plus two free tumblers and free delivery – see here

Until 15th May, all orders come with two free bottles of Sauvignon on top as the home page explains.  You just need to add another £50.01 of assorted wine to take you up to £100 to trigger the Amex cashback.

Note that the £49.99 deal involves signing up to Wine Plan, although this can be quickly cancelled once your wine has arrived.

The Laithwaites website is here.  The £25 American Express cashback deal runs to 13th May.
