HFP EXCLUSIVE: Get up to 10,000 bonus Avios on hotel bookings at Kaligo.com

Head for Points and hotel booking site Kaligo.com, which awards Avios with every hotel you book, are running an EXCLUSIVE promotion during July.

This is the third time we have run an offer like this with Kaligo.com and they have always been very popular with our readers.

If you spend over £700 on hotels at Kaligo.com before midnight on Wednesday 31st July, across one or more bookings, you will receive 8,000 bonus Avios.

These points are in addition to the everyday benefit of 5 – 20 Avios per £1 spent you will receive for every booking all year round. For clarification, you need to choose British Airways Executive Club as your earning preference prior to booking.

Even better, if you are a new customer and have never before booked a hotel on Kaligo.com before, you will earn an additional 2,000 Avios with your first booking of any value.

That makes a possible total of 10,000 Avios for new customers and 8,000 Avios for existing Kaligo.com customers in addition to the everyday Avios earned if you manage to spend £700.

The stays need to be completed by 31st December 2019.  You do not need to stay by 31st July.

You MUST book via this special HFP promotional website in order to receive the bonus.

Kaligo HFP offer

There are two parts to this promotion

  • If you spend over £700 on hotels at Kaligo.com, across one or multiple bookings in July 2019,  you will receive 8,000 bonus Avios.
  • If you are a new customer and have never before booked a hotel on Kaligo.com before, you will earn an additional 2,000 Avios with your first booking of any value

For clarity ….

You DON’T need to make £700-worth of bookings to receive the 2,000 bonus Avios for being a new Kaligo.com customer.

Any hotel, anywhere, will do the trick (as long as you turn up and check in!) if you have never booked via Kaligo.com before.

Even a very cheap one night stay somewhere – perhaps £30-£40 – will trigger the 2,000 bonus Avios plus the base Avios for your stay.

New Kaligo customers are defined as customers who had previously never made a hotel booking with Kaligo under the same email address, loyalty program account, payment information or billing address.

Here is an example from the Kaligo.com site showing what you could earn if you are a new customer and reach the £700 spending threshold:

Kaligo HFP offer earning example

You must book via our special landing page

You MUST book at this special HFP promotional website in order to receive the bonus.

As usual with such promotions, you need to check your pricing before you book. Kaligo.com is not always the cheapest place to book – it depends on the property. However, when you factor in the value of the 8,000 bonus Avios – plus the base Avios you earn from your stay – it may well look attractive.

If you are a new Kaligo.com customer, earning an extra 2,000 bonus Avios on your first booking – however cheap that booking may be – is a great result.

Remember that you will usually not earn points for your room spend in any hotel loyalty programme linked to the property you book if you use Kaligo.com (or indeed any third-party hotel booking site). Depending on the hotel, you may receive status benefits or points for your food and drink spend.

If you have £700 of hotel stays to book this month, you should seriously consider routing them via Kaligo.com to take advantage of this offer.

Even if you have no ability to spend £700 with Kaligo.com by 31st July in order to earn 8,000 bonus Avios, you should – if you have never booked with them before – seriously think about putting one night their way in order to earn the 2,000 bonus Avios as a first-time booker.

Remember that you MUST book via this page on the Kaligo.com website.

It is fair to say that Kaligo.com’s customer service is excellent – their representatives even pop up on social media to answer queries – so you should have no concerns at all about your bonus posting properly. The company is also very punctual at posting your Avios posts once you have checked out. If you do have any issues, we can send you directly to the right people.

Thanks to the team at Kaligo.com for making this exclusive deal available to Head for Points readers.

  1. How do you add multiple bookings to one order? I want to book 2 hotels on different dates to hit the 700 GBP spend target but I cant see to do it..!?

    • You don’t. Make totally separate bookings. Kaligo tracks them just fine – never had a single complaint about them not picking up multiple bookings properly.

  2. Bootlace says:

O/T Lufthansa Miles and More have 10000 Miles for taking out their quirky Diners club card at the moment as well as a couple of good offers and both Budget and Enterprise car hire. Just saying like….

    • Thanks, hadn’t seen the 10k. EDIT: LH site says 10k, application site still says 5k …

      • David says:

I believe the M&M site changed from 5k to 10k exactly at month end.
(I happened to be reviewing the site on both days).

  3. Davef says:

I have to say that I don’t see the value in this. Just priced 3 nights at the Marriot in San Fran, Kaligo are approx.£250 more expensive than booking direct.

I understand there’s a premium for going via Kaligo and sometimes it works for me but gaining 24000 Avios for £250 (1p/Avio) doesn’t seem worth it when I’d get 10700 Bonvoy points (without any promotion bonus) for much less cash outlay and I could spend the rest on food and booze.

    As always everyone’s ‘mileage’ varies.

    • Memesweeper says:

I’ve just checked a night next week at the CP in Heathrow. Exactly the same price on Kaligo as IHG.com. The Moxy was drastically more on Kaligo. You have to check — this offer could be great or useless depending on your hotel preferences and their deals.

  4. Agee with Davef. I have two rooms for sole occupancy at the Side Su hotel in Antalya booked for 15 nights in November. Travel Republic price £399.13. Kaligo price £860.50. I would qualify for the 8,000 Avio, 2,000 bonus and 2,152 for the booking, total 12,152 Avios for an extra £461.37. That is a payment of 26.3p/Avios!

    • Geoff says:

Clearly you need to shop around, but I have just swapped a single night H.com booking for a Kaligo booking, for just about the same price (albeit minus the H.com reward input) to get the 2k bonus for a first booking. Don’t think it is worth us chasing the £700 spend though looking at our current plans and existing booking prices.

    • DaveL says:

Actually around 4p per avios….but the point still stands!

  5. Any news on that Hotels.com credit card?

    • Nope. Although Anika is trying to get a meeting with them next week, so I will get her to give them a nudge.

  6. chicarg says:

@Rob, do we know why all the booking links in this article have disappeared?

  7. Hi iam travelling with ba to Milan in economy on an executive club points booking in economy. Then I’m picking up a Qatar airways FLight from Milan to doha and on to Bangkok in Business .

Could anyone tell me if I might be entitled to use the Ba business class lounge or not in Heathrow terminal 5 on my outbound to Milan?

My Qatar flight is the same day with 4 hours layover in Milan.
