Save up to 25% at Hilton in South East Asia, Australasia, Japan, Korea and Greater China

Hilton is currently running an APAC sale to celebrate its 100th anniversary.  This covers hotels across South East Asia, Australasia, Japan, Korea and Greater China.

Discounts are up to 25% off the Best Available Rate.  There is an additional discount for logged-in Hilton Honors members, except in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

The new Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is included, image below, as is the – more affordable – brand new Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.

As always with Hilton sales, your room will be non refundable and requires pre-payment.  This means that the 25% discount is not a genuine one because you would usually save 10% anyway by pre-paying.  You should still see an additional saving, however.

You need to book by 6th September for stays until 29th February.

The Hilton APAC sale site is here.

  1. Does anyone have the Avis AWD to hand for the Amex Plat card? I have signed up for the account etc but cant find the code.

    • I believe you have to call Avis to have it added. They hardcode it into your profile. It took me ages to do because the online system is set up on the assumption that you’re creating a new Avis profile.

  2. Chelseafi says:

O/T bit of advice on how BA HotLine tickets work, if price is better are there any downsides to them?

    • No OnBusiness points. Not sure about Avios and tier points?

      • Spaghetti Town says:

You certainly get Avios and Tier Points ( did last September anyway). You basically get a slightly discounted fare through hotline and is usually cheaper than whatever BA’s main website is offering.

    • Qrfan says:

You can’t upgrade them with avios.

    • Hotlines are quota controlled for the person issuing them, but can be given to friends and family. Avios and TP as normal, no OnBusiness – and crucially (for HFP!) no UUA or op-ups are permitted (AUPs are fine if available though). Bags always included – which means that HBO publicly is sometimes (not always) cheaper. The scheme is due to change imminently, no word (yet) if it’s for better or for worse, it’s closely guarded for the moment at least.

  3. Alex W says:

Isn’t it false advertising to say it’s 25% off when it isn’t? Should be illegal.

  4. Munch says:

OT Looking to complete my diamond challenge for Hilton. I want to book two rooms on the same night for myself/husband and my daughter/husband. Do the rooms count as two stays towards my challenge? Will all four guest receive free breakfast with my diamond status.

  5. O/T:

Rob. Has the IHG Mastercard Partner Rate come to an end? I have tried not only your own link to this offer but several others but to no avail. I thought that the Partner 30/20 rate was to run to the end of 2019?

  6. OT – I saw earlier this week someone was able to provide the official reason for a delay in order to see if a compensation claim was likely to be successful – would someone be able to look up a flight for me? It was BA0806, Thurs 25th of July, Heathrow to Billund. Thanks if you can help.

  7. Star of the hit series Suits, Rick Hoffman is one of the stars of Air New Zealand’s latest safety video, which has just been released.

The new video is the latest in a long series of safety videos that usually hit the headlines, but sometimes for the wrong reasons. The airline’s last video was pulled after negative feedback. The airline front footed the negative feedback by releasing a mock job advertisement for a new head of safety videos. 😅😂🤣
