Interesting British Airways First Class flight deals to the US

British Airways is running some compelling deals to North America for travel in First. It is not clear whether this is part of the sale they are running or whether these are simply good fares – although frankly nobody is complaining.

The easiest way to find these fares is via the BA Low Fare Finder, which you can sort by cabin class. Oddly, some destinations in Canada and Florida appear exempt and are selling for the low, low price of £8,000+….
The rules are that you must book by the 24th September. Outbound flights are permitted Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday whilst inbound flights are for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You must stay over a Saturday night.
These prices are for travel from early January until very early April, which is before most schools break up for Easter.
You may be able to price these with car rental or hotels via BA Holidays, which often leads to further savings.
To maximise your miles when paying, your best bet is the British Airways American Express Premium Plus card which earns double Avios (3 per £1) when you book at ba.com or via BA Holidays. You do not get double Avios if you book with the free British Airways American Express card.
Another option is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold which offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.
