Hilton to open a luxury Conrad hotel on the Costa del Sol

Hilton has announced the Conrad Costa del Sol. This will be a 194 room luxury resort, due to open at the beginning of 2022.
It will be the first Conrad property in Spain.
We don’t normally write about hotel projects which are not close to opening, because in a large percentage of cases the hotel either never opens or opens under a different brand after a difference of opinions during development.
I made an exception for this one, however, because we reviewed Conrad Algarve earlier this week and this property is similarly interesting.
As you can see from the image, it sits in the Andalusian hills but has sea views. The coast is a five-minute drive from the hotel, which promises a large spa with indoor pool, multiple outdoor pools, two bars and a high-end restaurant.
Given the ‘early 2022’ opening date, construction must presumably be underway already which means it will hopefully be ready for Summer 2022.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.
You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

There is another way of getting Hilton Honors status, and earning Hilton Honors points, from a payment card.
Holders of The Platinum Card from American Express receive FREE Hilton Honors Gold status for as long as they hold the card. It also comes with Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Radisson Rewards Premium and MeliaRewards Gold status.
