Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Bicester Village, the luxury shopping destination in Oxfordshire, is open again and currently running a special offer with Virgin Flying Club.

Until 16th August 2020 you can earn triple Virgin Flying Club Miles when shopping at Bicester Village.

The standard earning rate is 1 Flying Club Mile per £1 spent. During this promotional period, you will receive 3 Flying Club Miles per £1 spent. This includes food and drink spending on site.

How do I earn Flying Club Miles at Bicester Village?

You do not need to claim your miles in each individual store you visit.  Instead, simply hold on to your receipts.

In the past you had to take your receipts to the Visitor Centre after your shopping tour who processed your miles in one transaction.  To ensure a more enjoyable shopping experience Bicester Village have now introduced a new digital process to claim your miles via email.

You will need the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Virgin Flying Club name and number
  • Images of your receipts
  • Image of the bank card you used displaying only your name and last 4 digits
  • Photo of this promotional invitation

You can find out more about the Virgin Flying Club offer on this special Virgin Flying Club page of the Bicester Village website.

Bicester Village works with other airlines too

Bicester Village works with MANY other airline partners so if Virgin Flying Club is not your core focus you should still find a partner to suit you.

With British Airways Executive Club, for example, you can earn five Avios for every £4 spent.

Other airline partners include Asia Miles, Aeroflot, Alitalia, ANA, Emirates, Etihad, Flying Blue, InterMiles, KrisFlyer, Miles & More and Qatar Privilege Club.

Bicester Village’s Shopping Protocol to keep everyone safe

Bicester Village has brought in various measures to make shopping easier.  Face masks are mandatory inside boutiques and are recommended throughout the whole village.  Shoppers will also have their temperatures measured.  There are hand sanitizing and hand washing facilities available.

More interestingly, as only a certain amount of people are allowed inside each store, there is a digital queueing system in place to reduce time spent in a physical queue. Simply book a space in the queue via text message and a shopping time slot will be sent to your phone.  The quietest shopping times are on weekdays between 9am to 11am and 6pm to 8pm.  The full set of health measures can be found here.

  • Andrew says:

Probably avoid paying with a metal card then as the name and card number can’t be captured in the same image as they are on different sides of the card.

  • Steve says:

Is it limited time due to the fact that Flying Club may no longer exist soon 😉
