Eurostar finally starting direct trains from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to London

At long last, there is a date for direct Eurostar services from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to London.
Direct services TO Amsterdam started in 2018. Anika travelled on the launch London to Amsterdam Eurostar service and her review is here.
Direct services back to London were not possible, however, because the necessary passport, security and segregation facilities were not in place in the Netherlands. You had to take a standard train to Belgium where you would clear immigration and get onto a Eurostar train for the final leg.
From 26th October, you can say goodbye to all that with the launch of direct services. It will take just over four hours for the trip from Amsterdam and just over three and a half hours from Rotterdam.
Tickets will be on sale from 1st September.
How to get Club Eurostar points and lounge access from UK credit cards (April 2024)
Club Eurostar does not have a UK credit card. However, you can earn Club Eurostar points by converting Membership Rewards points earned from selected UK American Express cards.

You can enter any Eurostar lounge, irrespective of your ticket type, simply by showing The Platinum Card at the desk. No guests are allowed but you can get entry for your partner by issuing them with a free supplementary Amex Platinum card on your account.
