Here’s what a hotel quarantine package looks like

The Novotel Heathrow on Bath Road has launched a special quarantine deal!

The date for the start of hotel quarantine for arrivals from ‘red list’ countries is not yet public. Some people are already subject to a 10-day quarantine (or five days with ‘test to release’) however, and arrivals who do not have a permanent UK address are currently the target of this offer.

As you can see, a 10-night package of room, breakfast and inclusive PCR test is £670. I’m not sure why it needs to include a test on the 10-night package as you would be free to leave at that point irrespective.

There is a cheaper 5-night package with a PCR test for £375. This is aimed at people who qualify for ‘test to release’.

You can add lunch and dinner for an extra £10 and £15 per day respectively. It is not clear what your options are if you don’t do this, although I imagine food deliveries are allowed.

The hotel website is here although the quarantine package may need booking directly.

Applied for FTWEEKEND FOR £99 ,following your instructions, was shocked to see my card was debited £176.80.Contacted both Amex and FT, neither accepting .Have responsibilty, each saying nothing to do with them &contact the other party although AMEX has credited the promised £25.WAS THIS A GENUINE OFFER AND CAN YOU HELP.

It is a genuine offer, or you wouldn’t have had the £25 credit. No-one else has reported any problems. Keep pushing back with the FT (the offer is still live, it’s not exactly hard to convince them it is there!) and if you really get stuck in a couple of weeks let me know and I will try to sort it.

Has the FT Weekend subscription been pulled? Can’t see it on the link as an option or when searching for it.
