Join a virtual Formula 1 event with Hilton Honors

Hilton Honors has historically offered some excellent Formula 1 redemptions for points due to its sponsorship of the McLaren team. A new virtual event is now available.

For 15,000 Hilton Honors points, you can attend, virtually, the unveiling of the new McLaren Formula 1 car.

This is how it is described:

“Redeem your points for the chance to join McLaren virtually for an exclusive reception to celebrate the launch of the 2021 car and driver line up. The private event will be hosted by McLaren at the awe-inspiring McLaren Technology Centre and you’ll have the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the complex on Monday, February 15, 2021.

You’ll be greeted virtually by one of the McLaren team members in the home of motorsport’s most prestigious facilities. Explore the Boulevard of historic cars from McLaren’s illustrious racing history and receive exclusive insights into McLaren’s Formula 1 race team operations.

This experience for two (2) includes:
– Exclusive virtual access to McLaren’s team launch reception
– Virtual tour of the McLaren Technology Centre”

No timings are given, unfortunately.

Do you know that holders of The Platinum Card from American Express receive FREE Hilton Honors Gold status for as long as they hold the card?  It also comes with Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Radisson Rewards Premium and MeliaRewards Gold status.  We reviewed American Express Platinum in detail here and you can apply here.

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

You can also earn Hilton Honors points indirectly with:

• American Express Gold (20,000 bonus Amex points)
• American Express Rewards Credit Card (10,000 bonus Amex points)

and for small business owners:

• American Express Business Gold (20,000 bonus Amex points)
• American Express Business Platinum (40,000 bonus Amex points)

The conversion rate from American Express to Hilton points is 1:2.
