Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Possible 18,750 Avios for £53 via the Daily Mail

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

The Daily Mail has been emailing selected members of its MyMail website with a generous subscription offer.

You will receive 30,000 Nectar points (worth 18,750 Avios) when you subscribe to ‘The Ultimate Pack’ of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday for just two months.

If you are not a fan of the Mail, don’t worry. You do not receive physical newspapers. You receive a book of vouchers in the post which can be redeemed daily at your local newsagent – or binned if you prefer.

The price is £26.80 per month, so £53.60 in total. The Nectar points will arrive within “25 days of renewing the second month subscription“.

This is, clearly, a very good deal at £53.60 for 18,750 Avios. The only reason I am not pushing it harder is that the offer is not openly showing on the MyMail website. You need this link from the email.

On the other hand, the T&Cs in the email do not say that it is only open to the recipient:

“Offer available to new subscribers taking out a subscription between 12.02.21 and 28.02.21. UK residents aged 18+. To collect £150 worth of Nectar points, buy a subscription to The Ultimate Pack, paying for a minimum of two consecutive months, price £26.80 pcm. £150 worth of Nectar points will be credited per person, per one subscription only, within 25 days of renewing the second month subscription. Subscription will auto renew after the expiry of the first calendar month at a cost of £26.80.”

(EDIT: To add to the confusion, it seems that the confirmation page you see is an old one and shows a different set of terms which mention a three month minimum. Caveat emptor.)

You should create a MyMail account and link it to your Nectar account before signing up.

For absolutely clarity, do not sign-up for this unless you are prepared to accept some risk that you will not receive the points because you did not receive the original email.

As a no-risk alternative, you may want to register with MyMail, link your account to your Nectar account, and wait to see if you are targetted for a similar offer in the future.

  • Delbert says:

Such is my focus to accumulate points that I’d accept 18k Avios from Pol Pot if it came to it.

    • Mike says:

and I’d smoke pot if it came to it !

      • The cyclist says:

I guess a lot of the contributors on here are smoking something, given some of the opinions proffered.

        • Delbert says:

The point is, doesn’t matter who’s offering up Avios for bargain basement prices, most of us miss that part, we merely see free money. Let’s not complicate matters with trivialities.

  • Paul Milwright says:

Not wishing to spend £52 on toilet paper, I called the subscription number, then pressing 1′ to (pretend to) subscribe. Sorry if this info has been posted already, They gave me the following clarifications:

    1. You only get the introductory Nectar points if you received an introductory email from them. If you initiate the subscription, you get the rag and auto-renewal, but not the poins.
    2. If you subscribe by invitation, the minimum term is 3 months. You get the points after 2 months, but they will take them back if you cancel before the 3rd month is paid for.

That’s was I was told by their Customer Service.

    • Delbert says:

You can largely ignore what the customer service helpline spouts as usually generic nonsense. The published T&Cs don’t support a three month subscription. Let’s see what happens and I’m not getting excited as I reckon, on the balance of probabilities, I’ll receive my Nectar points.

  • Cabal of rabid baboons says:

I very much enjoy the the Mail, what as bonus to gain some Avios as well as the excellent content 7 days a week.

  • Cabal of rabid baboons says:

There are people that enjoy reading the Daily Mail you know?

  • Alex Sm says:

My partner and I just signed for this offer. No ifs, no buts, no virtue signalling. There is so much more to do on this nice Saturday rather than fill 8 pages of comments with your twopences…

Btw, another way to build up your Nectar / Avios bank:

Find the Unique Number on the back page of the Mail each day – just enter it into the boxes above and watch your Nectar points build up.

Your current Nectar points balance is: 1081

How many Nectar points can I collect?

Monday – Friday – 5 Nectar points per day
    Saturday – 10 Nectar points
    Sunday – 15 Nectar points

PLUS collect a bonus 30 points for buying at least 5 newspapers out of 7 each week (Saturday to Friday)

    • Callum says:

We shouldn’t mention opinions on a blog full of people mentioning opinions?

I must say I’m sick and tired of the incredibly lazy and rather nonsensical “virtue signalling” insult that’s now fashionable to throw around. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with calling a scummy paper scummy. With the amount of damage caused by the paper and it’s more ardent followers, it’s a perfectly valid sentiment to express and the least of our problems. Why it bothers you I have no idea (feeling guilty?).

      • Dr C says:

Agree, I find most of their articles have an obvious agenda to push (Yes I understand other newspapers may do the same, before someone posts this)

    • dezbez says:

Tbh, in the (current?) scheme of things this isn’t that lucrative – I got more points for buying 4 pints of semi-skinned. 🤷🏽 (Plus you don’t have to go anywhere near that rag.)

  • Mark M says:

There used to be an online spoof called the Daily Nail .com
    Their motto was:
“Whatever it is, it’s a DISGRACE”
    Summed it up nicely………

  • Michael says:

Did anyone who has not received the email get confirmatuon of the SB’s points beingi credited, when signing up via the link posted here.
I spoke to an agent over the phone who said only people who received the email will be entitled to the offer.
Would be good if people confirm here once points post, but the offer might be withdrawn by then

  • Paul says:

I’d rather put pins in my eyes than buy, contribute or in any way support this hate filled rag.

The daily hate and daily excrement have done so much damage to this country with their pernicious and mendacious content. Well done to the Duchess off Sussex

    • Rob says:

Subscribe and you’re taking them for £97 though 🙂

      • Julian says:

Alternatively it seems the Daily Mail group may be taking many of your readers for a one month subscription with no bonus Nectar points that your readers then find they can’t get their money back on…………
