IHG has announced that two new voco-branded hotels will open in Scotland as soon as restrictions are listed.
voco Grand Central in Glasgow is one of hotels that IHG’s inherited with the acquisition of Principal Hotels. It has 230 rooms and is attached to Glasgow Central railway station.
You can find out more on this page of ihg.com.
Over in Edinburgh, voco Edinburgh Haymarket – situated very close to the conference centre – will be the first new-build hotel to become part of voco in the UK.
(To be honest, as voco was designed as a ‘conversion brand’ – a brand that could be slapped onto existing hotels where the owners didn’t want to invest in meeting specific brand standards – I am surprised that there are any new builds.)
You can find out more about voco Edinburgh Haymarket here.
