Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Important dates for your diary – offers about to close which you shouldn’t miss

In the hope, if not the expectation, that we will see a return to some international travel soon, we have revived this ‘last chance’ feature.  It ran every two weeks for a number of years until we suspended it last March.

The aim of this feature is to summarise offers that are ending soon.  Years of experience of running offers for HfP readers has made it very clear that a large proportion like to leave things to the last minute ….

It pulls together the different deals mentioned in our daily articles and on our Top Avios Points Earning Offers, Top Hotel Bonus Points Offers and Top UK Credit Card Offers pages.

Remember that the British Airways ‘20% off all flights’ flash sale ends today.

You missed first Freedom Week – ending today. A few people have mentioned it in this week’s chat threads.

  • Mike says:

I don’t think it ends. Freedom Day / Freedom Week was just the beginning of the return to normal ( aka Freedom)

  • Gene says:

Do Amex/hotel loyalty programmes typically offer transfer bonuses during specific months of the year? By any chance, is there a summary timeline for the year? I’m wondering if I should hold off transferring if any transfer bonus is coming up soon.

    • Rob says:

There are virtually never Amex bonuses. The odd one may occasionally appear (Hilton and Marriott) but they are rare. However, there is NO REASON to transfer Amex points unless you have a booking coming up. Why bother? You are giving up hugely valuable flexibility for literally no benefit.
