Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new bonus points promotion, starting in mid September and running for three months.

It isn’t hugely generous BUT it has virtually no small print and no silly restrictions, so there’s nothing to complain about.  If you tend to do one-night stays in the cheaper brands it could work out nicely.

You must register via this link.

How many bonus Bonvoy points do I earn?

You earn 1,500 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points per stay.

Note that this is per stay and not per night. There is no limit to the number of times you can earn the bonus, although it is not generous enough to justify changing hotels each night on a longer stay.

There is an additional bonus of 3,000 points on stays at all-inclusive resorts.

What are the key dates?

The offer runs from 14th September to 12th December.

You MUST register via this link before your stay.

Registration closes early on 28th November.

Existing bookings DO count – there is no need to rebook.  Reward bookings do not count

Marriott Bonvoy Autumn 2021 bonus points offer

Is this a good offer?

It’s not life-changing, but as every cash stay, every brand and every country are participating, Marriott Bonvoy has at least made it easy.  You don’t need to rebook anything and there is no silly ‘starting with your 2nd stay’ rule.

I value a Marriott Bonvoy point at 0.5p.  This means that the bonus is worth £7.50 per stay

£7.50 is not a terrible return if you are doing cheap one night stays – on a £75 bill it is another 10% back on top of your base points and any elite bonus.  It is clearly a bad return if you are doing five nights for £3,000 at the St Regis Mallorca, reviewed here.

1,500 points is better than nothing, of course, so you should definitely sign up if you think you may have any Marriott stays over the three month promotion period.

You can register, and find out more, on this page of the Marriott website.

Check that your Marriott account has not been set to earning miles and not points.

  • Joints&Piles says:

I’m registered for a promo that started 21st June and runs to 21st September, offering “6,000 for your first stay, 3,000 for your second stay and 6,000 for your third stay”. Why does this new promo kick in a week before the old one finishes? And far less generous if you haven’t done 3 stays yet.
