If you have British Airways or oneworld status, especially if you have a British Airways Gold card, you will be pleased to hear that the Cathay Pacific lounges in Heathrow Terminal 3 have reopened.

There are two lounges – a business class and a First Class lounge. The First Class lounge includes a formal restaurant, which is free.

Here is Anika’s review of the Cathay Pacific Heathrow lounges from the opening party in 2016. I have been on a few occasions since but never written it up. We will send Rhys down to check them out ….

The opening hours are 5.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Saturday and 7.30am to 5.30pm on Sunday.

You can find out more on the Cathay Pacific website here. For clarity, if you have access to the BA lounges via your ticket or your status, you also have access here. British Airways Gold cards can access the First Class lounge.

Don’t forget that the Qantas Lounge has also reopened in Terminal 3, and you have the brand new American Express Centurion lounge (review) for Amex Platinum cardholders.

Oh, and the British Airways lounges are open, but it’s hard to see why you would visit those …..

In CX lounge right now. It’s like old times. Dim sums & champagne although they only have rosé at the moment.

  • meta says:

Not sure if mentioned before here, but it seems Etihad passengers can now access Qantas lounge instead of No1. Yes, Etihad.

    • Andrew J says:

Etihad and Emirates passengers sitting side-by-side then!

    • Ryan Gill says:

When I travelled with Etihad on Boxing day, No 1 lounge asked me to go to Quantas lounge as they were full. I showed my ticket at what I thought was the Q lounge, but everything was branded BA. I think I ended up in Gallery’s.

      • John says:

Hard to miss the Qantas lounge entrance… if you want the BA lounge you need to go looking specifically for it

  • Sam G says:

A bit curious as to why they’ve reopened – no CX flights at all currently operating out of London! I just looked at the T3 timetable for my upcoming flight and there is only a handful of OW departures that morning. But absolutely no complaints from me – looking forward to a visit in a couple of weeks!

  • The Savage Squirrel says:

9000ish RR points saved by a rebook. Every little helps 🙂

  • Simon says:

Has anyone heard whether the AA-T3 arrivals lounge will ever open again?

    • Nick says:

      Ever? Yes. Soon? No.

T3 Arrivals will open at the same time as the remaining US Flagship lounges if you want to keep an eye on those. Currently they’re at 2/5 open.

  • Frenske says:

Excellent timing regarding Radisson Rewards. Offer saved me 25.500 points.

  • TW says:

If I’m flying AA business class, booked through BA. Would that allow access to the Cathay lounge?

  • James Harper says:

T3 now has its two great choices back – Cathay and Qantas lounges and added to by the Centurion lounge. So glad I’m flying so much with Finnair at the moment.
