Free IHG hotel rooms for grandparents, and possibly other family members

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

IHG has launched an offer for anyone with grandchildren. Until 20th April you can book two rooms for the price of one at selected IHG hotels in the UK, France and Germany. You can book for stays until 15th July.

Whilst the advertising talks about using the 2nd room from grandparents, the small print is actually a lot more flexible.

Free IHG hotel rooms for grandparents

It simply says:

“The Promotion allows grandparents or other family members to stay free in a second room”

This implies that it would be fine for a family where the adults and children split themselves across two rooms.

The offer is fairly limited – only a handful of hotels are participating. You can see the full list here but it includes:

…. plus a handful of airport hotels

To be eligible for the offer you need to book two rooms for a minimum of two nights, at least a week in advance. The charge for the cheapest room is reduced to zero at check-in. You can find out more here.
