We are delighted to tell you that Head for Points turns 10 this month.

Rob started Head for Points as a hobby way back in 2012 after his career in the City. Since then it has grown into a ‘proper’ business – we should hit 25 million page views this year – thanks to your loyalty, support and interest.

None of our success would have been possible without you, our readers, and we want to invite you to celebrate this huge milestone with us.

Head for Points summer party bar

We will be throwing one of our famous reader parties on Tuesday 21st June. We hope you can make it.

Save the date: Tuesday 21st June

The party will take place at the Renaissance St Pancras hotel from 6pm to roughly 9pm and there will be 500 tickets available.

The Renaissance St Pancras balcony

Tickets will be £10 and your first drink, food (canapes and cupcakes) and a potentially very valuable raffle ticket are all included. There will be a cash bar for additional drinks.

As anyone who attended our 2019 Summer Party will attest, the Renaissance is a great venue for a summer celebration. There is a balcony area if the weather is fine and a beautiful indoor space if it’s not.

We will be releasing tickets in the next week. Keep an eye on the site or your emails for full details of when the tickets go on sale.

This party has become a reality because of the support of our sponsor Barclaycard. As you have probably heard by now, Barclaycard launched two new Avios-earning credit cards this Spring. They will be providing cupcakes and canapés for everyone on the night – you won’t go hungry – so a big thank you to all the team over at Barclaycard.

We will also hold our customary raffle on the night, with a VERY impressive top prize. Details will be revealed when tickets go on sale!

Information on how you can get a ticket will be published very soon, and we still have lots more details to reveal, but please mark Tuesday 21st June in your diary now. See you there!

Perfectly timed for the 5th British Irish Airports Expo the following day!

  • AirMax says:

Can you make sure JDB and Mr X have a place please?

  • yorkieflyer says:

Is there an advance sale for Barclaycard holders?

  • SteC says:

If I buy a ticket but don’t attend can I still win the raffle prizes?

    • Rhys says:

No, you need to claim it on the night

      • Rob says:

There is no value for us in this. The hotel charges us for the free drink you won’t drink and the canapes you won’t eat (due to a minimum spend guarantee we had to make to get the space) and we want a full room.

  • LA says:

Just wondering if those of us who live nowhere near London are still able to get raffle tickets? Or is it only for people who can actually make it on the night?

    • Rob says:

For logistical reasons (ie we’ll probably only get around to buying the tickets the day before!) it will be ‘on the night’ only unfortunately. It’s a shame as there will be at least £7,500 of prizes on offer if it all comes off as we hope.

Just come to London. 9PM finish means you can briskly walk to Euston afterwards and grab the 21:15 sleeper to Inverness.

I’ll be away at a wedding sadly but am delighted HfP has hit the milestone by being a tremendous success (after no doubt huge amounts of historical and ongoing effort). Have a great time everyone. 🎉

  • Hilda M says:

Congrats Rob & team ! A few days earlier would have found me in residence – some very good deals on suites using points & cash.

  • The Savage Squirrel says:

This is my wedding anniversary. Choices, choices…… 😀

    • Gary says:

😂 would be a great way to mark the occasion. Received Barclay’s avios+ card in a timely manner on our anniversary (during the card delivery debacle). Sometimes it’s meant to be.

    • Chas says:

      There is no choice…..!😉
