Jumeirah One is the loyalty programme for the Middle East-focussed chain of luxury Jumeirah hotels. This incudes the Burj Al Arab, above, which I reviewed here.

If you have an account, it is worth having a look on the website after logging in.

I was offered 1,000 bonus points for updating my member profile with my ‘interests’ (eg wine, theatre, football etc). It’s a two minute job.

Get 1,000 free Jumeirah One points

1,000 bonus points are worth roughly £15 off your next Jumeirah bill.

As our review of Jumeirah One shows, the scheme has little value now. However, if you are staying with them, you’d be mad not to take their points.

As I found this week when I checked out of one, the benefit of using your points to part-pay your bill on departure is that you can empty out your account. Pretty much all Jumeirah redemptions are worth 1.5p per point, but discounting your final bill lets you use every single one – it isn’t rounded up to the nearest 500 or 1,000 points.

We got £550 off our bill using points we earned at Jumeirah Port Soller in Mallorca last year, and promptly earned another 30,000 points back which will get us £450 off a future stay – plus the extra 1,000 points (£15) from updating my profile.

The small print says that the 1,000 points offer is valid from 1st October to 31st December 2022 and that you will receive the bonus points within two weeks of updating your ‘interests’. In reality, mine arrived in 48 hours.
