Save 20% on IHG One Rewards hotel redemptions …. soon

IHG One Rewards emailed holders of their (closed to new applicants) UK credit cards yesterday giving them ‘early access’ to a 20% discount deal on IHG redemptions.
This implies that, in the next couple of days, the offer will be opened up to everyone.
The terms are:
- book by 20th January (it isn’t clear when non-cardholders can start booking)
- stay by 10th March
- valid on points and ‘points and cash’ bookings – for the latter, you save 20% on both the points and cash elements
- all hotels, all brands, all countries are included
If you had been planning an IHG reward stay for the next few weeks, keep an eye out for an email letting you know when you can book. It is also worth comparing the cost of any existing cash nights against a reward night at the new lower price, especially as IHG One Rewards isn’t currently offering any ‘open to all’ bonus points offers for cash stays.
