  • Lesley Ritchie says:

Tried several times on different browsers keep getting the error message!

  • RCHammer says:

For those who have registered successfully what did you see once you clicked the link? Did you get a confirmation message? If you’ve registered already what message do you get if try again?

  • Phil W says:

I suspect that this might be a targeted promotion, or has been coded as such. I have successfully registered but cannot do the same for my wife’s account.

    • NC says:

Same here – suspect they have cookied so you cant do it more than once per device… heading off to another PC now! LOL

      • louie says:

I entered all six of my household account members using one laptop without issue. I went back and tried a second time for one family member after successfully entering, just to see what happened, and got an error message.

  • No Longer Entitled says:

Just checking to see if it has worked for everybody? If it didn’t, please let me know. Individually. It really adds value.

    • RCHammer says:

What about those who it worked for? Why can’t they let you know individually? Can people who haven’t tried yet let know they haven’t tried yet. Individually.

      • No Longer Entitled says:

        good point, well made.

I haven’t tried it yet. Should I post again when I haven’t tried it from Player 2’s account also?

        • No Longer Entitled says:

Quick update: I still haven’t tried.

        • David says:

I think I’m going to try. When I’ve decided whether to actually try, I’ll let you know.
And when I’ve done that, if I’m going to be trying, I’ll let you know the time I will try.

          • No Longer Entitled says:

Thanks David, that would be very helpful.

For everyone else, I am still yet to try. Hope this helps everyone else.

  • yorkieflyer says:

I got the message when registering for the wife’s account but simply logging out of my account then trying again Bingo

  • Manar says:

The only thing that occurs as helpful is hearing from someone who had the error and THEN was able to work out a way to make it work.

Fwiw, I got the error both before and after being logged into ba.com but then had zero issues logging out and registering (with the same browser) with my partner’s account and logging out to then registering with my mother’s account buy then got the error again when logging out and trying a 3rd time to register myself.

So it’s nothing to do with cookies. I doubt it’s anything to do with the browser. I assume it’s our accounts for some reason, possibly because it’s targeted.

Hence, unless someone who got the error can report they then later got it working…. I don’t think hearing about more problems is moving our understanding forward.

  • phantomchickenz says:

Another “fails for me, works for my wife” here. Same iPad. Strange.

  • Nick says:

For those struggling to make this work, try removing the original person’s personal details and link refs from the unhelpful URL Rob links to… will work fine if you do that. It’s not a targeted offer but Rob has given someone’s personal targeted link anyway. Ideally also clearing your cookies if you clicked first before doing it (no need if you copied and pasted).

Helpful hint, anything in a URL after (and including) a ? is only ever a tracking reference. You can always remove this and still navigate to the base page. Applies to any website, not just BA’s!

    • sayling says:

      /chef’s kiss 💋

    • Sherri says:

I tried to enter via my own BA Executive account and navigating to the competition page, didn’t use Rob’s link at all and it STILL didn’t work
