Hilton rolling out ‘keep your Diamond status with 1 stay’ – check ‘My Offers’ online

Hilton is rolling out its ‘keep your 2022 status’ promotion to more people – including me.

You may have received an email about this yesterday.

If you didn’t, you may still be targeted. I saw the offer under ‘My Offers’ on the Hilton website last week, and indeed had completed a stay – although it hasn’t posted yet – before the email arrived.

You can check ‘My Offers’ here. Our full review of Hilton Honors is here.

What’s the deal?

As you can see from the image above, if you had Diamond Elite status in Hilton Honors last year but did not retain it, Hilton is basically giving it back to you for minimal effort.

You need to do just one stay before 31st March 2023 and your status will be rolled over. It will run until 31st March 2024.

This is a complete no-brainer if you are impacted. Even if you end up doing a mattress run at your nearest Hampton for £75 or so, you’d get your money back on one stay later in the year if it got you executive lounge access and a decent upgrade.

In theory there are variants of this offer which require two or three stays, although I don’t know anyone who received one.

If you had Gold Elite status and lost it, I believe there is a similar offer with three variants, requiring either one, two or three stays. I wouldn’t necessary do a mattress run to achieve this, since free breakfast – the key benefit of Gold – isn’t likely to save you as much as the cost of pointless hotel nights. Of course, if you need a hotel stay anyway ….

If you didn’t get an email, you may still be targeted

Hilton seems to be rolling out these emails slowly, possibly to test the results and possibly to control any rush to book its cheapest hotels!

If you click here and log in it will bring up the ‘My Offers’ page of hilton.com.

Conclusion

If you thought that your Hilton Honors Diamond status was gone for good, you may have a chance to retain it for minimal cost. It is well worth doing so.

  • Radisson, Hyatt and IHG are not (yet?) offering any deals to people who lost their status

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

  • John says:

Not going to bother trying to requalify normally this year, either they will have this offer again, and/or breakfast is going to be replaced by credit so no point staying at Hiltons any more.

    • BJ says:

Will you target any others John? IHG via Diamond Ambassador now looks like easiest target and arguably the best benefits now too. Alternative might be to not target status at all and just focus on best option trip by trip, combining with breakfast included brands or rates and exploiting third party incentives and promotions where possible.

  • Alan Taylor says:

I am already qualified but have a real downer on Hilton atm as my current points balance has been reduced to -650,000 with no explanation but I assume to reverse a credit a Care agent had said they owed me several months ago. A few stays off lifetime Diamond and then I think I will move on. Any recommendations

    • babyg_wc says:

Did know you could go negative… Dont know what a care agent is either, but I’m sure if you rang the diamond desk they’d tell you why, but it seems l like you might already know..

  • Pangolin says:

I’m one of the mugs that put the nights in to hit the Diamond qualification target of 42 nights. I had 29 nights in the second half of 2022 to put me over the top.

Now I realise I could have allocated those stays elsewhere. Retaining Titanium in Marriott would have been relatively easy (I finished with 58 nights in Bonvoy).

    Fool me once, Hilton..

    • C says:

I whole heartedly agree with you and indeed many other comments on this article. Having nudged over the 2022 finish line to just renew HH Diamond, as well as Bonvoy Platinum, I’m now trying to identify which (one) I will focus on retaining through 2023.

Marriott is I feel, my choice. 50 (v.60) compared to HH Diamond and this latest “giveaway” perpetuates the status of what must be masses of HH Diamonds!!

I’ll watch with interest how the rumour of status dilution (removal of breakfast) evolves also…

    • Harry T says:

Hilton are crap compared to Bonvoy, unless you like one category room upgrades and checking out before 4pm.

  • LLOXYZ says:

Well that’s decided whether I should focus on a different programme. Hilton’s moving of the goal posts yet again. Total bait and switch on the double nights promo. It looks like double nights didn’t roll over to 2023 either. WTF!?

    • Jan says:

Im in the same boat as you! I retained diamond with stays.. everything after that (nights) should roll over to 2023.. but nothing has rolled over and especially with the double night offer, i should have 11 nights rolled over to this year!

Customer service is really slow on the replies and ive asked them to get this sorted but i feel ghosted.

  • Gagravarr says:

Handily I got the email from Hilton about this the day before I checked out of a Hilton hotel after a week long reward stay

Points posted today, and my account now shows

    Congratulations on reaching Diamond!
You’ve stayed 7 nights this year.

So, reward stay is enough, and status renewal comes through nice and quick!

  • Jo says:

Didn’t get email or active offer but login to app and it shows you’ve kept status for 2023. Fab news!

  • Alan says:

Worked nicely for me with a recent redemption stay 👍

  • Alex says:

How on earth you are supposed to figure out how many stays you need to keep Gold?

Didn’t get an email but see it in my Offers, yet it says nowhere how many stay activities are required.
