We are taking over the Marriott Bonvoy VIP suite!

Marriott Bonvoy has, very generously, given Head for Points exclusive use of its VIP suite for the Elton John concert on Wednesday 12th April.

Marriott Bonvoy is also paying for catering and drinks.

Rob, Rhys and Sinead will be there all night, as will a Marriott Bonvoy employee, so there will be plenty of opportunities to socialise and chat about travel, miles and points.

About the event

There’s nothing we can say about Elton John is there? This ‘farewell’ tour is probably your final chance to see this musical legend on stage as he plays the highlights of his – astonishingly – 50 year musical career.

The location is The O2 in North Greenwich, London.

The date is Wednesday 12th April. Doors open at 6pm. All shows at The O2 are obliged to finish by 11pm.

You can also redeem Marriott Bonvoy points for tickets at 4pm today!

Marriott Bonvoy has been offering tickets for other Elton John concerts at The O2 in recent weeks as part of its Marriott Bonvoy Moments experiences programme. They have all been snapped up within an hour of being released.

If you missed out, and don’t want to take your chances of winning in our competition, four pairs of tickets for the final Elton John concert on Tuesday 30th May will be released at 4pm today, Monday 13th.

EDIT: Tickets went in about 30 seconds! We hope you have a great night.

You will be able to buy via this link. The cost is 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for two tickets for the Marriott Bonvoy VIP suite, with food and drinks included.

The following tickets are also being released at 4pm today:

  • Duran Duran on Monday 1st May (six pairs of tickets at 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per pair)
  • Måneskin on Monday 8th May (six pairs of tickets at 30,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per pair)

Marriott Bonvoy Moments has other great events throughout the year

Marriott Bonvoy Moments is about a lot more than just the private suite at The O2.

Using Marriott Bonvoy points accumulated from travel and dining, you can gain VIP access to concerts, culinary experiences, premier sporting events and more all over the globe. You can redeem your points for fixed-price experiences or use them to bid on experiences through auctions using the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform.

Marriott Bonvoy has an exclusive partnership with Manchester United, with a variety of packages available for games at Old Trafford including a VIP box:

Marriott Bonvoy also has a partnership with the Mercedes – AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team. Events available for Marriott Bonvoy points during the new 2023 season will include:

  • A lap around a race circuit in a high-performance Mercedes-AMG car driven by a Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team driver.
  • A sleepover on the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team yacht during the Monaco Grand Prix.
  • Behind-the-scenes access to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team over the race weekend
  • An insider tour of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team factory in Brackley

If you are fan of American Football, Marriott Bonvoy members are able to redeem points for the annual NFL games held in London and Germany.

Here are some Marriott Bonvoy Moments redemptions which are currently being auctioned:

There is a lot of other good stuff throughout the year. Events I have attended personally (paying with my own points!) included VIP packages for the annual pre-Wimbledon tennis tournament at The Hurlingham Club in London, an exclusive Marriott Bonvoy Moments lunch at Clare Smyth’s Michelin-starred ‘Core’ restaurant in Notting Hill and a private Jamie Cullum concert in Dubai.

(Pro tip: Marriott Bonvoy has great Moments packages worldwide. You can get tickets for events at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin for example – these are often cheaper than equivalent concerts in London, and you can use the points saved to redeem for a Marriott Bonvoy hotel and make a short break out of it. Off to the Middle East? See what is on offer at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.)

  • Colin says:

The article states that entry is restricted to UK residents which is incorrect as the terms and conditions state that the competition is only open to legal residents of United Kingdom, Guernsey, Isle of Man, and Jersey.

    • Rob says:

Correct. Not many in the last 3 categories though 🙂 and the article is a ‘summary’ of the rules.
