This month marks 25 years of Heathrow Express services since its introduction in June 1998.

Whilst it can’t send you a piece of birthday cake to celebrate, it is doing the next best thing.

It is offering bonus Heathrow Rewards points to anyone who books a fully flexible Heathrow Express train ticket over the next four days, for immediate or future travel. In percentage terms, it is a whopping 2500% increase!

Heathrow Express 25th anniversary bonus Heathrow Rewards points

Get 25 Heathrow Rewards points per £1 with Heathrow Express

Normally, you receive 1 Heathrow Rewards point for every £1 you spend with Heathrow Express.

Until Monday evening, however, Heathrow Express is increasing this to a whopping 25 points per £1.

25 Heathrow Rewards points is the equivalent of, when transferred:

  • 25p of Heathrow shopping vouchers (so you’re getting an effective 25% return on your spending)
  • 25 Avios, Virgin Points or other airline partner miles
  • 50p of Official Heathrow Parking vouchers

The promotion is running for four days this weekend. It started just after midnight today, Friday, and ends at 11:59pm on Monday evening.

You do not need to travel during the offer period. You can travel anytime, up to 12 months in advance, which is how far Heathrow Express’ booking window extends.

Note that only certain ticket types are included in the offer – and only those bought online or in the app. You will not receive the bonus points if you use an in-station ticket machine or tap in and out with your Oyster or contactless card.

The following tickets are included:

  • Anytime Single Express Class ticket
  • Anytime Single in Business First Class ticket
  • Anytime Return in in Express Class ticket
  • Anytime Return in Business First Class ticket

Unfortunately, the bulk-discount carnet packages, with 12 single journeys, are not included.

You can see the full terms and conditions here.

You can book on the Heathrow Express website here.

Great campaign, always find Hex more convenient when travelling to an from Heathrow, I can always find a seat and costs less then Elizabeth line when bought in advance! If only this bonus points was a permanent thing

  • Scott says:

HEX seems to be on strike every time I’ve been in London lately and I’ve used Elizabeth line a few times now. Comparable travel time, feels like more frequent services, can start my journey before or after Paddington…. HEX is very much losing its appeal and the premium pricing gets even harder to justify….

  • Robert says:

Pardon my ignorance, but is “Fully Flexible Single Standard” the same as “Anytime Single Express Class?” After a few test-searches, I haven’t seen any of the named valid ticket types in the results.
