Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Here’s the full list of raffle prizes for the Head for Points Summer Party tomorrow

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

If you were lucky enough to get a ticket for the Head for Points Summer Party, generously sponsored by SeatSpy, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow night at Renaissance St Pancras between 6pm and 9pm.

But please don’t all arrive at exactly 6pm or it will be chaos ….

Hotel directions are here, but to be honest anyone who struggles to find a building which looks like the image below, built above a major railway station, probably shouldn’t be allowed out on their own in the first place ….

The lobby entrance is on the ramp above Euston Road. You are heading to the Hansom Hall on the ground floor which is directly in front of you as you walk in.

If you have a ticket and did NOT receive an email from Rhys on Friday, contact him at rhys [at] headforpoints.com and we will resend the final details.

We have an impressive guest list.  As well as being able to chat to fellow HfP readers and the SeatSpy team, you will be able to chat to employees from (in alphabetical order) Accor, Aer Lingus, Air Astana, American Express, ANA, British Airways, Barclaycard, Capital On Tap, Cathay Pacific, Collinson, Currensea, DragonPass, Emirates, Etihad, Eurostar, Expedia, Global Airlines, Heathrow Express, Heathrow Rewards, Hilton, Hyatt, IAG Loyalty, IHG, London City Airport, Malaysia Airlines, Marriott, Nectar, Norse Atlantic, Plaza Premium, points.com, Priority Pass, Qatar Airways, trip.com, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Red, Virgin Voyages, Vistara, Wheely and Wizz Air.

(If you are ‘trade’ and feel left out, drop us a note during Monday and we’ll squeeze you in!)

Emyr Thomas, our luxury hotel booking partner, will also be there to discuss your hotel booking requirements.

What can you win in the party raffle?

All attendees will receive one ticket to the party raffle. Anyone with a SeatSpy paid subscription will receive two tickets by showing a QR code – the email you received from Rhys on Friday explains how to generate this.

  • BJ says:

All excellent prizes, tve draw is sure to be exciting!

  • His Holyness says:

No LH Group? Were they invited? After Mike Bishop pressed the button LH Group ended up being the 2nd biggest carrier at LHR. It affirms their attitude to their pax they’ve no interest in attending.

    Wizz staff certainly brave!

    • G says:

Cheap and somehwhat cheerful, gets you there, just as chaotic if you get disruption than if you were flying LH or BA.

Low cost carriers aren’t to be sniffed at given all what it seems BA offer is 2-3x the price and a mouse infested lounge at LHR.

    • MPC says:

I’ve had less issues with Wizz over the last 3 years than I have with BA!

    • Rob says:

We did ask the head of Lufty UK. Rhys and I are at a Star Alliance drinks on Wed so may see him there.

    • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

“It affirms their attitude to their pax they’ve no interest in attending.”

      Says nothing of the sort.

They have limited time and perhaps they took the view that since their is little reportage and comments of LH on HfP it would not be worth their while attending.

      • Rob says:

Their offices are Heathrow-way and the party is also the night before the Business Travel Show opens, where they have a big stand to put together. Not ideal.

      • His Holyness says:

        Indefensible mediocrity?

        Global Airlines 👀 that’s the A380 start-up…

Wizz is brave if you’re a HfPer with an outstanding CCJ.

      • Blair Waldorf Salad says:

LH is of more relevance to us in regional UK so by rights they should be invited to the next impromptu gathering in Liverpool

  • Greenpen says:

Who needs LH when you have KC? Maybe we are getting more reviews of this airline and the hotels of Kazakhstan in the future.

    • His Holyness says:

LOT are missing a trick not attending with two of the Bonvoy prizes in Poland.
Why PL? As they’re cheap for marketing to pay for?
It’s pretty odd the Warsaw prize property is the Westin.

  • John says:

Dan we resale the tickets, got two but will now not be able to attend.

    • Rob says:

There is a forum thread where you can pass on your ticket if you can’t make it.

    • MariaJ says:

      I’ll buy one of you

    • TravelEd says:

I’ll gladly take both if no one else has taken them off your hands yet, what’s your email?

  • Scruffy hound says:

Wonderful prizes, have a brilliant time! Maybe at Christmas we can do something for Make-A-Wish to help some wish children’s dreams come true. Bringing together hfp readers and the supplies we could make a real difference.

  • Sunil says:

Moments I regret of missing an event like this because I don’t live near London

  • Gordon says:

Looks like it’s going to be an impressive turnout! Hope it’s a successful evening for all….

  • ANA Zennikku says:

Surprised that ANA employees are also joining this party! Unluckily I don’t live near London

    • Rob says:

Julie who runs ANA in the UK is someone we’ve dealt with for 7-8 years now. We did a review trip in 2017ish.
