Volotea launches Strasbourg flights from London Gatwick

Volotea is an interesting airline which rarely comes onto our radar in the UK.
This is despite the fact that it is one of the fastest growing independent airlines in Europe. It has bases in 19 medium sized European cities (Hamburg, Lyon, Venice-size cities) and flies over 400 routes. Half of these routes are served with no competition.
Volotea has a fleet of 41 A319 and A320 aircraft and is based in Barcelona. It is no coincidence that this is also Vueling’s home because the airline was launched by two of the original Vueling founders.
The airline has now announced its first route to the UK. It will fly from its Strasbourg base to London Gatwick.
Flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays from 9th November.
Volotea is not in any airline alliance so there is no way of booking with points.
